Jamaica greets Ireland as Treasure Beach turns Green this March in celebration of the emerald islands patron, Saint Patrick.

The weekend long festival to be held at St. Elizabeths Treasure Beach will be the inaugural event of what is to be become an annual Festival. A place for the community to gather, open to all, offering a cultural exchange. A place to celebrate the Jamaican influence in modern day Ireland and offer something unique in return.

Though the event is newly established it has for a long time been an ambition for experienced Festival Manager Martin Hickey.



Hosted by the Irish native & resident of Treasure Beach, the Festival aims to bridge the gap between the two Islands who have long been associated and share historical commons. From Friday 14th through to Monday 17th March. Treasure Beach will be the home of all events and will see the bars and restaurants fly the flag for both island's.



Hickey, founder of Irieland has already accomplished bringing a slice of Jamaica to Ireland, hosting Ireland's premier Reggae stage at the country's most prestigious music & arts festival, Electric Picnic. Attendees hail the area as one of the highlights of the Festival as it pays homage to the home of Reggae & has become a name synonymous with the Caribbean in Ireland. The Festival arena has been described as a 'Little Jamaican Gem'

The accomplished entrepreneur felt it was time to swap the cultural experience and bring the Irish charm to Jamaica. 


The Festival of culture kicks off on Friday 14th at the 'Frenchmans Reefwith live band 'Bomb Squad' and an introduction to the festival's cultural exchange talent competition with performances from Jamaica's emerging artists.


On Saturday, 'Peters Bar on the Hill' is the home of the festival's Dominoes Competition, with the grand prize winner taking home $5000 for an entry fee of $500pp. which includes lunch. Later, Irieland welcomes a link up with the newly established 'Eve's Haven Hotel' with Brushy hosting Eve's Birthday Bash. Performers on the night include Admiral Tibet, P Zed, Little Hero, Mikey Melody & Saint Elizabeths Terry Linen

From 4pm Sunday 16th, The Wild Onion welcomes a new concept to celebrate the much loved 'Paddy's Day'. The entertainment line up for the all dayer includes a mixed bill of Jamaican, Irish & international artists. 


Cian Finn from the west of Ireland will represent the Celtic roots, known for his vibrant onstage presence and impassioned voice, Cian’s shows voyage through reggae rhythms to bouncing dubstep, interspersed with soulful acapella moments. His songwriting is infused with insight and positivity and is currently nearing completion of his first solo album produced by Prince Fatty. Cian Finn has toured cross continent carrying forward the flame of conscious music with artists such as Radikal Guru, Zion Train & Mungos Hi Fi. Most recently visiting India where this street performance was taken after a chance meeting with Indian beatboxer 'Mic Lee' displaying his impromptu freestyle talent adding something fresh to his noted discography of recordings.

Furthering the cultural exchange, emerging artists are invited to enter the event's talent competition backed by studio Studio 1 legend, Joe Isaacs and band 'Oneness' with the Grand Prize winner receiving an all expenses paid, ten day trip to Ireland where they will perform on Irieland's Trenchtown Stage at Electric Picnic Festival with promotional support from the highly experienced team.  Judges include long time noted musician and father of Tarrus Riley 'Jimmy Riley'. A great opportunity for any for any up and coming artist to showcase their talent.

On Monday 17th the community are invited to attend the free entertainment at Eggy's Bar & Restaurant and will enjoy live bands with Irish & Jamaican guests including the winner of talent show throughout the day with an evening bonfire on the beach. 

Bringing the weekend's festivities to a close, on the official Paddy's Day, South Jammin' welcomes an intimate acoustic performance from Duane Stephenson(Please note this event is of limited capacity)


It wouldn't be 'Paddys Day' without a party into the early hours! Irieland invite you to their festival after party at the HB Black Star Liner with music the winner of 'World Sound Clash' Bredda Hype.



Further cultural traditions are to be enjoyed with street entertainment & traditional Irish & Jamaican food stalls serving up the finest jerk, jacket potatoes and Guinness with drinks specials all weekend.
